August is a hot month, so why not cool off while learning some sexy dance moves? Whether you’re interested adding a kick to your love life or looking to perform a fabulous, comedic or dark theatrical striptease in public, School of Shimmy welcomes students of any age, size or gender to learn the art of burlesque and gives them the confidence and the know-how to bring a full burlesque performance to the stage – or the boudoir. Lessons are complete with the history of burlesque, costuming tips and tricks, choreography, character development and song choice. Founder Dottie has been performing for six years in the NYC-circuit and is also the expert bachelorettes trust when they want to deliver a saucy surprise on their wedding night. These classes are not to be missed!
