The culturally rich East Village in Manhattan is home to Kino, named after the Japanese-born owner and respected stylist Toshi Kino. With a minimal yet very efficient design – a lot of clean lines – the placement of mirrors offer an interesting perspective of what's happening on the street outside. It's hard not to feel like a celebrity during (and especially after) master Kino is finished with you. He styles with consideration for the hair that remains, not the hair that ends up on the floor, so expect to sit and observe as his creative instincts transform your hair in the style of a classical violinist playing a masterpiece or a master painter creating a legendary work of art.
